Standard books for Electronics and Communication.

  • Prepare short notes
Use different colour pens to make short notes so that it sticks to your mind for a long time. Also make it a habit to read the short notes and refresh the topic.
  • Learn basics thoroughly
Do not try to solve complex problems without having strong root level knowledge about the subject. Learning basics take time and is quite painful but truly rewarding. You can easily build complex concepts and solve problems if you spend extra time to build your basics.
  • Coaching or No coaching
Coaching centres always help as they can guide you easily. Good coaching institutes help you to save a lot of time by teaching short cuts and concepts thoroughly. But it is not mandatory that you need coaching to crack GATE/IES. Many of the top rankers have cleared without going for coaching.
  • Appear for mock series test
Take up a mock test series as it will help you adapt to the online pattern. It will also help you assess your preparation and based on the test analyze you can focus on areas that you are weak in and can prepare those areas. It will also give you exhaustive practice on different types of questions

  • Solve maximum questions and problems
Practice makes a man perfect. Keep on practicing till you achieve your goal.

Ideally, one should start preparations a year in advance for understanding the concepts. The detailed preparations can be managed in last 4 to 6 months.

IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH IN 30 DAYS

Clearing English section in competitive exams is a deadlock for most of the students. It is difficult to mug up a lot of vocabularies and even more difficult to retain in our brains for more than a month. Synonyms and antonyms are part of most of the competitive exams including GRE, UPSC, Engineering Service, TOEFL. Getting those marks will boost one's score and will be the deciding factor in rankings.

Students approach in learning these words is not scientific and end up loosing a lot of time.

Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis is the ultimate key to the dead lock.

Systematic approach introduced in the book will make you a master in vocabulary.

Spending less than 30 minutes per day for 30-45 days to help you improve your vocabulary in a big way.
Those who are preparing to sit for CAT, GMAT, GRE, TOEFL and other such examinations would definitely stand to greatly benefit from this book. Anybody who wants to improve one's vocabulary will also find it very useful.
Authored by Norman Lewis, the grammarian from New York who has several other English language books to his credit, 'Word Power Made Easy' has been published by Goyal Publishers and became popular soon after the first edition was released in the year 2009.
For those Indian students who have to clear the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), an essential examination for securing admission to many overseas universities, improving vocabulary and knowing about the correct usage of similarly spelled words or words pronounced words is most essential.
The book is broadly divided into three sections. By way of simple techniques, the author has presented easy tips for improving one's vocabulary and word skills. After having created awareness about the new words and their meaning, he then goes onto explain how to make their correct usage.
Norman Lewis, by way of citing several examples, even explains the correct usage of many words that often have the user confused. The diction and many idioms are explained in detail. Picking up the correct synonym, when arriving at a particular expression, has also been explained.

Try it and you won't regret it for sure.
