ACE ENGINEERING ACADEMY HYDERABAD

ACE provides coaching for GATE, IES, JTO, DRDO etc.

Location:
Abids, Hyderabad
Get down the train at Nampally station (Hyderabad Deccan), the station after Secunderabad(for those who are coming from south India). Ace academy is nearly 2.5 kms from station.

Make sure that you book your tickets such a way that you reach Hyderabad on Saturday or Friday as fresh batch (class) starts on Sunday.

Fees:
For GATE: Rs.12, 000 +tax (nearly 13,100)
For IES: Rs. 20,000 +tax


Hostel:
There are a number of hostel around ace academy but only a few are good. (Good in the sense, one can survive). I stayed in Vithal Nivas Boys hostel.
It is not difficult to find a hostel in Hyderabad but it will be good if you could come in May or June for Gate coaching and Dec to Feb for IES coaching.
I will suggest some of the hostels but remember there are other hostels which are better than those I have mentioned below.
Boys:

2.Vithal Nivas Non Veg on Sundays Far from Ace
(fees around 3200) (1.5 k.m walkable )
Unlimited chapatti

3.Hyderabad hostel (fees around 3500) over crowded rooms
Looks good from outside (only)

Girls:
Majority of girls stay in the hostel on top floor of ace academy. I do not know much about this hostel (seriously), but I think it is safe as it is covered with grill all around and it easy for them to get to the hostel after class at 8.30 p.m.

Food:
Common thing about these hostels is food. There wont be a day without rice and dal curry. Usual items for breakfast are poha (rice dish), lemon rice, white rice, idli, poori.
For lunch you will get rice, dal curry, dal water or dal fry and all those things that you can make with dal, plus a vegetable curry.
I assure, you will lose on an average 4kgs after 4 months coaching.



Coaching institute:
You may wonder why I have given hostel and food before saying anything about coaching institute, atmosphere, class, and faculty. I am not going to give an answer now but you will soon find out after a stay in Hyderabad.

Registration:
Ace office and academy are located at two different buildings. I was very much surprised by the size of ace office (too small), may be they believe office of knowledge centre needs no show off.

You must have with you 2 passport size photos and an id proof (photocopy) and very importantly money (full amount, they wont allow installment pay).

Class room:
Ace academy is located at Suryalok complex. They occupy 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor of suryalok complex. Ladies hostel is on 4th floor.

Nearly 25,000 students (I mean engineers, majority jobless or not satisfied with present job) study in ACE academy for Gate coaching.
And about class room, it is difficult to call as a ‘room’ but can be aptly called as class hall as nearly 275 students study in a single room. There rooms for 150 students and 100 students also. Teachers use mikes for teaching.

Batches:
Morning batch: 6.30am to 8.30 a.m.
Day batch : 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m. or 4 hours daily
Evening batch: 6:30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Even if you take any of these batches later on they will mix batches to form new batches like pass out batch or college goer’s batch. For last 2 months you will be made to sit from 6.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m.

For crash batch students, coaching timing will be from 6.30 am to 8.30 pm on all days. If you have enjoyed your college days (means, if you do not know even the basics) it better that you join any of the regular batches.

Faculty:
Even if you pay 12000 or 20000 as fees, coaching is worth it. All teachers are very much experienced and I bet even if you are a fool you are going to understand every bit of engineering. They take class in a way that you will love listening to it.
